28 Mai, 2006 (MOSTLY IN ENGLISH BECAUSE I AM TIRED)
Nous sommes parlé in english which was cool because I could know contribute to the conversations. Apparently, they were able to speak english for the first two days (the ones I missed because of the CIM Conference) and my first night there was there first night to speak french!
I'm tired so I am just going to write in english. Also, I got a job for the rest of the summer working for a company in Sasakchewan. I'll be in a camp at Cigar Lake, which is a uranium mine. Now, before I get a worked up on this, I need to do some research on the mine and e-mail the operations manager with my concerns of working underground with uranium. Uranium is one substance I am worried about working with! The work I'll be doing is labour for 2-3 weeks (to get use to the surroundings) and then on-site engineering for the remaining time (4-5 weeks).
I think this is a great opportunity for my career but I do have some concerns about being away from home for such a long period of time. The second week was pretty hard for me (being away from you guys!) and I am just getting use to the daily routine. And Sainte-Anne is almost over!
I suppose I may have to get use to this life-style. Living out of a suit-case. Don't get me wrong, this experience has been amazing thus far, but it also has helped me understand who I am and what I need. Anyways, I think I'm done for now.
Love You All And Miss You Even More!
